Terms of Use
The rules for using ChequeKo by Haturiko.
Draft — pending legal review. This document describes how ChequeKo is built and operated, but it has not yet been reviewed by counsel. It must be reviewed against Philippine data privacy and consumer law before public launch. Measures marked Planned are not live yet.
1. What ChequeKo is
ChequeKo is a formatting, alignment, printing, and recordkeeping tool operated by Haturiko Services Inc.. It helps you place details onto a Philippine cheque leaf that you already own and possess.
2. What ChequeKo is not
ChequeKo does not create or issue cheques, generate complete blank cheque documents, reproduce bank security designs, reproduce or alter MICR information, print routing information, process payments, transfer money, connect to online banking, or store signatures. It is not a bank, a payment processor, or a financial institution, and it is not affiliated with or endorsed by any Philippine bank.
3. Your responsibilities
ChequeKo is a formatting and printing tool. Users remain responsible for verifying cheque details, maintaining sufficient funds, protecting physical cheque leaves, manually signing the cheque, and following the requirements of their issuing bank.
You are responsible for:
- Owning and protecting the physical cheque leaf.
- Verifying every detail on the cheque before and after printing.
- Maintaining sufficient funds in the drawee account.
- Inserting the cheque correctly into your printer.
- Reviewing the printed cheque.
- Signing the physical cheque manually.
- Following the rules and requirements of your issuing bank.
4. Acceptable use
You may use ChequeKo only for cheque leaves you lawfully own and are authorised to complete. You may not use it to complete a cheque drawn on an account you are not authorised to draw on, to imitate or reproduce bank security features, or to attempt to reproduce MICR encoding. You may not attempt to circumvent guest print limits, probe other users' data, or interfere with the service.
5. AccountsPlanned · Phase 4 — described here but not yet available
You may use ChequeKo as a guest for a limited number of cheque prints. Beyond that a free account will be required — registration is not open yet, so the guest allowance is currently the whole service. Accounts are personal to you; keep your credentials secure and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, and we log security-relevant events.
6. Printing accuracy
ChequeKo controls the geometry it sends to your browser. It does not control your browser's print dialog, your printer driver, or your printer's mechanical feed, all of which can add margins, rescale the page, or skew the sheet. We make no guarantee of alignment on any particular printer. Always test on ordinary paper before printing on an original cheque leaf.
7. No financial or legal advice
Nothing in ChequeKo is financial, accounting, tax, or legal advice. Cheque requirements are set by your bank and by Philippine law, and they can change. Where the two differ, follow your bank.
8. Availability and changes
ChequeKo is provided free of charge and on an "as is" basis. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features. We will give reasonable notice of material changes to these terms where we can.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Philippine law, Haturiko Services Inc. is not liable for losses arising from misprinted, misaligned, lost, stolen, altered, dishonoured, or fraudulently completed cheques, from reliance on details you entered, or from your printer's behaviour. You remain responsible for verifying the cheque before signing it.
10. Termination
Self-service deletion from Account Settings Planned · Phase 4 — described here but not yet available arrives with accounts; until then there is no account to delete. We may terminate access for breach of these terms or for abuse of the service.
